Who We Are
Founded in 1960, LFOT was established to be the planned giving ministry serving individuals and congregations in the Texas District-LCMS. Our mission is to educate members and churches about stewardship of accumulated resources, facilitate opportunities for planned gifts that will benefit Lutheran churches and ministries, and manage funds that have been donated to benefit individuals and ministries. The Foundation operates as a charitable, non-profit, tax exempt ministry to help people give to loved ones and Lutheran ministries.
Who We Serve
We serve individuals and families by providing information on any aspect of charitable giving. We assist professional advisors in developing the best giving plans. LFOT is also able to serve as trustee of charitable trusts, administrator of individual and family endowments, and facilitator of many kinds of gifts.
We serve congregations and ministries by providing educational services such as group presentations, brochures, bulletin inserts and newsletter articles to congregations and agencies of the church. LFOT can assist donors in giving to the ministry and administer endowments and custodial accounts for ministries.
